                                                                                                           -Sreemayi Kasturi

Yes, I am a writer : One who thinks hard about what is to be written effectively and  with intensity so that it gravitates the reader's gaze and thought

Yes, I am a writer : One who likes to see the world with a balanced perspective often with a blend of imagination and reality ; One who observes the world's minute detail in an different angle.

Yes, I am a writer : One who researches on what is going to be narrated  through the story.

Yes, I am a writer :One who aspires to inspire ,encourage and support the reader who is worthy of a writer's attention ( i.e  'Me' )

CHILDHOOD IMPRESSIONS.

                                                                                                          - Sreemayi Kasturi.
Childhood impressions plays a crucial role in our entire life. For instance, The common incident we all have encountered when we were children with our siblings. At the moment we had a quarrel with our younger brother/ sister, our parents warn us not to have a fight with the younger ones as they do not know anything or probably do not know how to behave with the elders.Sometimes these may also have deep impressions in our heart that we could not forget the incidence even after becoming old.I found an interesting aspect where we all forget to overview. If we take it in a positive manner, we never ever fight with our younger ones in future. But if we look it in a negative way,we may have a feeling of jealousy between our sibilings that our parents never support us in any aspect which may lead us in a different path. Its the step which creates a border difference between ourselves and our parents , sibilings.

PHYSICAL DISABILITY V/S MENTAL ABILITY

                                                                                                           -  Sreemayi Kasturi.
Disability can be either physical and mental disorder. Some people are born disabled while  some become disabled as a result of an accident or a disease.
With the title provided, persons with physical disability can challenge the world and problems through their mental ability. There are people who have amazed the world with their courage, determination, strength, amazing will. There are people who does not brood over their past and start moving on with the new life.Even though life gives them a bundle of questions, where they overcome through their self confidence.
The below picture depicts such :-

The picture shown is very pleasant.Running competition is being held during afternoon since it is  sunny as we could see the shadows over them. It shows that this is a competition held for disabled as women watching with keen interest even in a hot day.The two kids are participating in running race as we could see white lines on the sand.We could not see other kids in race.Probably these kids were the first in the race, as we could see a pleasant smile in their face. One of the player is using a long stick, while other is carrying a walker for their support to run. From the picture it is clear that those children are very enthusiastic in winning the competition. They are leading an independent life where we could see them playing with those sticks without taking any support from people. The picture brings out tears in one’s eyes and shows a passion in those kids while playing.
According to World Health Organisation (WHO) statistics :-
  • 650 million people in the world are disabled.
  • One in every ten children around the world copes with disability.
  • Only 2-3% of disabled children in poor countries go to school.
There are few renowned people given below, who are a motivation for others,by proving nothing is possible when you have the will and determination to do it.
  1. Helen Keller was the first person to get a bachelor degree in arts and also a famous author, political activist, lecturer who overcame with the disability of deaf, mute, blind.
  2. Albert Einstein, who was famous for his theory E=MC^2 and was awarded with Nobel Prize for his Photoelectric Effect in 1921, had a learning disability in his early stages. He could not and was severely  dyslexic[1],autistic[2].
  3. Sudha Chandran, a famous classical dancer, taking a part in Indian television and films. She had to have her right leg amputated as she met with an accident .She started her life with Jaipur foot[3] and became the most highly acclaimed dancer in the sub continent.
  4. Stephen Hawking, severely disabled by motor neuron disease , a variant of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)[4] and was completely paralysed but had a Honorary Fellow of Royal Society of Arts.Won Highest Civilian Award in US.
How could they all achieve such a great success? This is all through their sheer determination, focused towards their field, self confidence upon them and a desire to achieve their goal.
"I have learned that the biggest disability any of may ever face is our own attitudes." - Jeffery F Walton .Have an optimistic attitude to acheive the desired targets even though lagging with disabilty.
There are few parents leaving their children in disability homes and are feeling shy to bring their children into community. And are even having the awkwardness of being recorded in the population census.Disability even contributes to the poverty ,if these people are not educated and not encouraged in the society. The experience which i encountered while meeting the visually challenged people are they have a special sensory features where they can recognise the person once with their touch and can remember a lot of things. I could see a pleasant charm in their face and they are not two -faced people.
For this, they need not want sympathy from people. All they need is a supportive community, education and vocational opportunities, equal treatment and encouragement from their family background , disabled persons can make progress. I hope and wish we could support them and provide them with the same facilities and opportunities as we have and we get.
"Disability is not a brave struggle or ‘courage in the face of adversity.’ Disability is an art. It’s an ingenious way to live."

       CIVIL SERVICES OF INDIA

                                                                                          - Sreemayi Kasturi

There are lots of hope in million eyes and wings to fly with their skills in their own desired path. But many of the young graduates in India choose the meritorious path of getting into the prestigious services i.e Indian Administrative Service which is the highest bureaucracy of Government of India as it is the backbone of administrative machinery of the country.
Many people opt this service as it is the best opportunity to serve the people in many aspects.Stepping into this prestigious service is not an easy task. The examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission  For these, one has to undergo three exams (Preliminary,Mains,Personal Interview) from which one gets the eligibility for getting into this service.Entry into the IAS is considered very difficult. Almost all of the applicants rank( Indian Administrative Service) IAS as their top choice because of the high prestige and diversity of career it offers.
About 850 candidates are finally selected each year out of the nearly 550,000 but only a rank in the top 80 guarantees an IAS selection — an overall acceptance rate of 0.001 percent and for guaranteed IAS position, acceptance rate is 0.0001%. This makes it one of the most competitive selection processes in the world. The eligibility for  getting into the Indian Administrative Service and the Indian Police Service, a candidate must be a citizen of India
Preliminary is of two papers which consists of General knowledge. Those who get selected in preliminary gets an opportunity to further proceed with the Mains exam.
Main exam has nine papers to deal with various subjects in depth.
Paper-1 is any one of the 26 Indian Languages .Paper-2 is of English Literature.
Paper-3 is of an essay oriented of any topic.Paper-4,5 is of General Studies.Paper-6,7,8,9 are the one,for each paper any two subjects can be optd which can be selected from optional list. After getting selected in both these exams one gets a call from the Interview Board.
For this, the student have to focus on the required fields with deep concentration and purposely operate at the edges of their ability so that they will screw up which makes them better as Coyle have mentioned in his Talent Code.It requires a great passion to acquire the service and lots of practice in various subjects in depth of knowledge. But there are another criteria apart from the hard working.Lets see how ?
Prelims is the exam where the student has to answer all the questions within a short span of time i.e 2 hours. For this one needs to have concise knowledge regarding overall subjects.Even the student has well prepared for the exam, he must be able to present it on the paper within the given duration of time. Here, one must knew about time management. As it plays a key role in determining the success of the student.
Main exam , where they estimate a student’s knowledge in depth and test them whether one is able to have proper Intelligent quotient and vast ideas with positive opinion while writing essays. It is the exam where one has to put one’s own opinions, develop critical analysis, arguments as it is completely a written format of exam. One has to use their maximum time to give his/her depeth in knowledge alog with a legible hand writing. If a person is good at answering all the questions and if he/she is a slow hand wrier then what is the use? Will she /he be selected in this service? The answer is absolutely ‘No’.The speed in Handwriting also plays an important role.
It is a very complicated task but not unachievable task. This can be achieved by hard work ,sincerity, strong determination and self confidence.
“ Never let our limitations put a limit on our dreams “.
Personal Interview, where Interview Board for see the person’s conduct, their responsibilities ,administration capabilities as well as his attitude towards a particular problem and colleagues. As this Civil Service exam is a long and continuous process which takes 1 year long, One must have patience and self confidence.
There are many Civil aspirants. But every one is unable to get into this service.  The question is even though having deep practice many people have failures. Why is this happening ? Even though everyone prepares from the same material having lots of coaching from the institutes and mental practice only few achieve success. The rest remain as a failure. This is because, some may be weak at some subjects or in some areas, while some lag in time management or in communication skills in Interview or some may lag at developing their own ideas and presenting it on the paper. Some may understand the theme with the wrong concept. The other main factor is some may have fear of failure, which causes them over pressurised, and may not be able to perform well in the examination.Having a pressure is a must while attaining success. But it should not lead to the failure.
“In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure “.
Civil Services of India exam is test of patience and vast knowledge.Responsibility of civil service officers is to run the administration of India efficiently.
“ Action is the fundamental key to success".
